Overview
The collection contains two manuscript volumes of notes, 1786 Jan. 12-[17]86 Apr. 5, taken by an unknown author of lectures given by Alexander Monro, 1737-1817. Alexander Monro held the chair of anatomy at the University of Edinburgh during the period the notes were recorded. The subjects discussed in the first volume of notes include general anatomy, jaundice, hernia, pregnancy, and teeth. The subjects covered in the second volume include teeth, surgery, hernia, dropsy, tumors, hair lip, ear, and eye. The second volume contains drawings.
