Volume of Jacob H. Wehner’s student notes from clinics of Henry Hartshorne, 17 December 1859 to 19 May 1860 and 8 May 1861-29 May 1861, and James Aitken Meigs, 1 September 1860 to 4 May 1861, in Medical Department of Pennsylvania College. Cases include patient’s name, age, diagnosis, and prescription or treatment.

Biographical / Historical
Jacob H. Wehner was born in Philadelphia on 11 February 1840. He attended Dickinson College, then enrolled in the Medical Department of Pennsylvania College and received his M.D. from the College in 1861. His preceptor was W. H. Hazzard. He also attended medical lectures at Jefferson Medical College and the University of Pennsylvania. Wehner, married with five children, died on 31 July 1888. Wehner was an Assistant Surgeon in the U. S. Army and stationed at New Orleans. His medical practice was in Germantown, Philadelphia. He was a member of the Northern Medical Association, the Philadelphia County Medical Society, and the Medical Society of the State of Pennsylvania.
