Overview
The office of the Secretary of the College of Physicians of Philadelphia was created during the organization of the College in 1787. The Secretary is the appointed officer of record. The position's original duties were to record the minutes and transactions of the College and preserve its documents and correspondence.
This volume dates from 1836 through 1841, and includes brief biographies of some of the Fellows of The College of Physicians of Philadelphia. Fellows included are: Thomas Parke, John Moore, Thomas H. Ritchie, Frederick Turnpenny, Joseph Parrish, and Thomas C. James. Index at front of volume.
